tvnima tutorial

This tutorial introduces a classical TVnima workflow. By following this tutorial, you will be able to produce your own TV show in 3D in a few clicks. You don't need to have previous experience in any 3D modeling or video editing software.

CAUTION : In this tutorial, we suggest you to use several softwares (Fraps, windows media encoder,…). Please be sure to carefully read their instructions before using them. We are not responsible for any troubleshooting related to their usage.

Let's start!

1) Launch TVnima

2) Create a new Project

  • Enter project name and click on the "New project" button
  • Relocate this file on your hard disk by using the "load project" button

3) Select your customized TV show presenter and stage set

  • Select the gender (Male or female)
  • Select cloth style
  • Select your stage set
  • Select your background image
  • Click on OK. At any moment, you can return to this screen and change the presenter or stage look.

4) Import your medias and arrange them on the timeline

  • On the library window, left click on add media and select the type of media you want to import. At the bottom of the application, click on the browse button, locate your file and click ok. Your media is now added to the library.
(more about supported formats in the documentation)
  • On the library window, left click on an item and select the insertion type you want. The media appears in the time line as a colored bar.
    - If the media is a picture or a video it will be located in the visual timeline.
    - If the media is a sound, it will be located in the "voice timeline"
  • You can change the length of a video or a picture by dragging the end of their respective color bar in the timeline.
  • If you want to change the order of the sequence, just drag and drop the sequences.
  • For convenience, we advise you to add the voices first and then add corresponding pictures/video.

5) Set camera viewpoints and presenter gestures

  • Add cameras: In the library, click on the camera panel and left click on a camera then select the insertion type you want. The camera is added to the camera timeline.
  • You can change a camera sequence length by dragging the end of the corresponding colored bar in the timeline. You can also move a sequence by drag and dropping them.
  • Add gestures: In the library, click on the gesture panel and left click on a panel then select the gesture you want. The gesture is added in the gesture timeline

6) Record your video

  • Once you are satisfied with the global sequence, you are ready to capture it.
For publishing and sharing purposes, you need to convert the 3D realtime animation you've created into a video. For this task, you need to use a video capture software.
We advise you to use fraps as it captures high frame rate animation and is really easy to use. You can download a trial version on the following link: (www.fraps.com). Of course, you are free to use any other video capture software.
  • Once you have installed and learned how to use your video capture software (in Fraps, by default, you just have to press the F7 hotkey to start the capture and to repress this key to stop the capture), launch your video capture software and press the record button on the control panel. An introduction sequence followed by your work will be display. Stop the video capture at the end of the TV show.
  • You acknowledge that you will keep the TVNima.com watermark on the final result of the TVShow that you will record.

7) Publish your work

  • Video capture editors can generate huge files, sometimes more than a Go, which is too heavy for upload on social video networks. We advise you to recompress your video capture with any video compression software. There are a lot of free tools, such as windows media encoder.
  • Go to you preferred social network, publish your video and tell your friends about your new skills!
  • Fill in the submission form, we will reference you on TVnima.com

Now, you are the TV show Director!!!

Note: You can arrange your sequence by starting with any media, gesture or camera viewpoints, this tutorial is only intended to give you some classical workflow.
